Her thought leadership in transportation is exemplified by her collaboration with then Chairman Oliver Gilbert to establish Miami-Dade’s first Urban Air Mobility Task Force, and by chairing the successful 2018 Broward County Surtax campaign.
Working closely with the Miccosukee Tribe of Florida, Carmona advocates for Everglades protection, clean water initiatives, and responsible development practices. Her transportation expertise extends to Miami Dade’s Rapid Transit Zone, various Transit-Oriented Development projects, micro and first/last mile mobility solutions, and Miami-Dade County’s commuter rail initiatives on behalf of Brightline.
Carmona’s development portfolio includes major hospitality ventures, housing, and mixed-use projects with Terra Group, and the proposed Sports Performance Hub of South Dade, creating a multi-jurisdictional sports stadium and training facility. Recently, she partnered with Loud & Live to bring Wodapalooza, the world’s largest fitness festival, to Miami Beach.
