Creating Thousands of Jobs

September 2025 | News

The City of Homestead has approved an 80-year lease agreement for a privately funded, $275 million Sports Performance Hub (SPH) of Miami-Dade, marking one of the most ambitious new developments in South Dade. The project includes a 10,000-seat multipurpose stadium, a sports-themed hotel, a professional training academy, and youth boarding school, positioning Miami-Dade as a premier destination for athletics, education, and community engagement.

The venture, led by VSGS Facilities LLC, is expected to generate more than 4,900 construction jobs and over 600 permanent positions once completed. Beyond its economic footprint, the Hub will attract some of the best student-athletes in the world, creating a pipeline of talent that cements South Florida as a hub for international sports and athletic excellence.

A major feature of the project includes a $275 million investment in beautifying the surrounding park and green space, transforming the area into a regional anchor for recreation, tourism, and community programming. With public recreation facilities, training spaces, and events planned year-round, the Hub is designed to serve both elite athletes and Miami-Dade families. The stadium is envisioned to host professional sports and major community events, including the Homestead Championship Rodeo. The Sports Performance Hub Miami will position Homestead as an international destination for elite sports training and education and bring top athletes to South Florida.

For Carmona Advisors, the approval reflects years of strategic advocacy and coalition building. Founder Jacqui Carmona has been engaged in conversations about the Sports Performance Hub since its inception, ensuring that workforce opportunities, community access, and long-term economic growth remain central to the project’s rollout.

“This project isn’t just about building a stadium, it’s about building opportunity,” said Carmona. “From job creation to youth programming, the Sports Performance Hub reflects the kind of development that uplifts communities, attracts world-class talent, and strengthens Miami-Dade’s future.

The SPH has received strong support from Homestead’s city leadership, underscoring a shared vision of South Dade as both an economic driver and a community cornerstone. With its blend of professional facilities, educational programs, and inclusive design, the Sports Performance Hub represents the type of forward-looking development that is reshaping Miami-Dade’s identity on the global stage.
